Aikido
Aikido is a Japanese martial art that originated as a system of unarmed combat for samurais in a situation where they were unable to use their swords.
The same principles and techniques make it an effective tool for self defence in the modern life.
Over the twentieth century, Aikido also developed in the spiritual dimension. In the Yoshinkan school of Aikido, the spiritual dimension is inherent in the physical training. Training the body leads to the training of the mind. The training of the mind leads to the training of the spirit.
As a member of the Shudokan dojo, you join a community of Aikido practitioners spread over 12 countries.
Several times a year, we have the opportunity to attend training seminars taught by our chief instructor, Joe Thambu Shihan (8th dan) and other top Yoshinkan Aikido teachers. Dojos affiliated with Aikido Shudokan are located in Australia, Asia, Europe and North America.

“We get stuck because perfection gets in the way of something that’s ample. Perfection is what you did at that point in time. Tomorrow, I’ll do better”
