Sonny Gill
25 years of teaching Aikido
Sonny Gill Sensei started his Aikido journey at the Aikido Shudokan dojo in Melbourne at the tail end of 1996. His interest in Aikido deepened rapidly. Soon he was training every day. Within a year he became a full time Aikido student attending 4-6 hours of classes every day. He stayed at the dojo as an uchi-deshi to Joe Thambu Shihan for over two years.
From 2002 - 2004, he had the good fortune of training and teaching at the Shudokan Insitute of Aikido in Seremban, Malaysia living with Thamby Rajah Sensei, the father of Malaysian Aikido and the founder of the first Shudokan dojo.
Since 2010, Sonny Sensei lives in The Netherlands.
